3 cheap organization fixes that made my apartment feel twice as big

I run a home & garden brand (GreenHaven), so I test a lot of storage and organization gear. Three cheap changes had the biggest visual impact — sharing in case it helps anyone else in a small space:

1. Vertical storage over floor storage. Anything you can hang or shelf, do it. Floor clutter is the single biggest thing that makes a room "read" small, even if the square footage is fine.

2. Match your container colors to your walls. Clear or neutral-toned bins disappear visually. Mismatched colorful bins fragment the room and make it feel busier than it is.

3. One "landing zone" near the door. Keys, mail, bags — give them exactly one home. Most clutter isn't lack of storage, it's lack of a default spot for daily-use items.

None of this requires a renovation — just re-thinking what you already own before buying more. Happy to share specific product recs if anyone's tackling a specific room.
