Most budgeting tools ask for the same trade: connect your bank, create an account, pay every month.

That is a lot of access for a running total.

I built Ledgerline the other way. It is one HTML file. You type the numbers in, or import a CSV. There is no account, no subscription, and it never talks to your bank. The data lives in your browser, on your device.

Twelve tools sit in that file: overview, transactions, budget, bills, subscriptions, paychecks, goals, debt payoff, cash forecast, net worth, reports, settings. Type a figure once and the other pages update from it.

The honest part, because it matters: browser storage is real, but it is not permanent. Clear your browsing data and the entries go with it. That is why there is a backup button. Download a JSON every few weeks and you can restore everything in seconds, including on a new computer.

If you have been avoiding a budgeting app because you do not want to hand over a login, this is the version of that tool that does not ask.

It is an organising file. It does arithmetic on what you enter. It is not advice.
