The 3 habits that fixed my health after burnout (no gym required)

I spent 3 years grinding 60+ hour weeks. I gained 30 pounds, slept 5 hours a night, and ran on caffeine and anxiety.

Doctors said "just exercise more." Thanks — super helpful when you're too exhausted to cook dinner.

Here's what actually worked when I finally figured it out:

1. The 10-minute morning reset

Not a workout. Not meditation. Just 10 minutes of movement + sunlight before checking your phone. Walk around the block. Stretch on the porch. The bar is on the floor — and that's the point. Consistency beats intensity every single time.

2. The "anchor meal"

Instead of overhauling my entire diet, I committed to making ONE meal per day nutritious. For me it was lunch — a big salad with protein. That single anchor meal shifted everything else gradually because I stopped feeling like garbage by 3pm.

3. The hard stop

I set a non-negotiable "screens off" time at 9:30pm. Not because I'm disciplined — because I bought a $5 alarm clock so my phone could charge in another room. Remove the temptation entirely.

None of this required a gym membership, a meal prep service, or waking up at 5am. It required showing up for yourself in small ways until it became automatic.

If this resonates, that's exactly what we work on inside Zenith Wellness — sustainable habits for people who are too busy to be unhealthy.
