Most people treat their screens like utility tools. Default wallpapers, stock backgrounds, zero personality.

Here's what I've learned creating digital art for personal spaces:

Resolution matters more than you think. A 1080p image on a 4K display looks muddy. Every piece I create is at minimum 4K, many go higher. The difference is night and day.

Color theory applies to your environment. Cool tones (deep blues, muted greens) work better for workspaces. Warm tones (amber, soft reds) hit different for evening setups. Match the mood, not just the aesthetic.

Aspect ratio is everything. Phone backgrounds, desktop wallpapers, and ultrawide monitors all need different compositions. A great piece cropped wrong loses its soul.

Less is more. The best digital art for personal use has breathing room. Busy compositions fight with your icons and apps.
