Robyn Laws has over 26 years experience in computer training, having started Whizz World (Pty) Ltd in April 1998, offering personalised computer training to both individuals as well as to companies, specialising in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, from basic to advanced levels.
The training philosophy of providing individualised and customised training to corporate and executive clients alike, ensured a high level of success for students. The methodology used also ensured the most effective transfer of knowledge and skills.
The biggest challenge was how to translate this into a series of engaging videos, to ensure that delegates follow and understand the training without an instructor being present. An animated character called MIM (Mind in Motion) has been created to be the “host/trainer/guide” through the training videos. MIM will direct users to functions, buttons etc on screen, interacting with the user, and adding humour to make learning more fun, keeping the user engaged.
