Hey! I’m someone who’s happiest outdoors, surrounded by nature and fresh air. I live in the countryside in a wildlife estate and love spending time in the garden—there’s something so peaceful about getting your hands in the soil. I’m really into anything related to nature, health and wellness, and I’m always reading up on ways to improve situations, live better and feel good. I’m also pretty active and like to get out and play sports whenever I can. Basically, if it involves nature, movement or feeling great, I’m all in!
My story in wildlife and wellness started in 2014 when I got a cancer diagnosis. I decided to relocate to the countryside and ended up settling in a wildlife estate in a community that loves it. We all realise the importance of helping to conserve what is around us and cannot overlook the threats that face us everyday in trying to protect the diverse wildlife and make sure that the local community benefits equally. Our goal is to purchase land to expand conservation areas, ecosystem restoration and have community-driven initiatives that secure the Maanzoni savanna’s future.
We have made some effort in the whole conservation process in Maanzoni and have planted trees, built some dams and employed wardens through Kenya Wildlife Services to try and curb poaching, attend to wildlife injuries and other threats that we face. Additional support would be highly appreciated and I will share events as we go along. Come on - let us preserve the planet and everything on it.
