The real bottleneck in VC due diligence is not deal flow

It is research capacity.

Most solo GPs and small funds I talk to are not struggling to find deals. They are struggling to evaluate them fast enough to act with conviction.

The pattern is always the same: a promising deal comes in, the GP spends 3 days trying to get smart on the sector, pulls together a rough thesis, and by the time they are ready to move, the round is either closed or they are going in with less confidence than they would like.

This is not a deal flow problem. It is an infrastructure problem.

The large funds solved this years ago by building internal research desks. They have analysts who can turn around a sector brief in 48 hours, pressure-test a thesis before a partner meeting, or produce a competitive landscape before a first call.

Small funds do not have that. So the GP ends up being the analyst, the deal lead, the portfolio manager, and the admin layer all at once.

That is the gap Aleph Brief exists to fill.

We are not a data terminal. We are not a newsletter. We are a research desk you can hire, starting with a single brief.

If you have ever lost conviction on a deal because you could not get smart fast enough, that is exactly what we built this for.
