Most people blow up not because their signals are bad, but because they take every signal with the same size.

Here's the filter I run before sizing any trade — crypto or forex:

1. Is this A+ or B-grade setup?

A+ = confluence of trend, key level, and volume confirmation. B-grade = only 1-2 of those line up. I size A+ setups at 2x my base risk, B-grade at 0.5x. Never the same size for both.

2. What's the market doing on the higher timeframe?

A perfect 15m setup against the 4H trend is still a coin flip. I check the higher timeframe bias first — it's a 10 second check that has saved me more than any indicator.

3. Where's my invalidation, and would I be okay being wrong there?

If the stop makes me anxious, the position is too big — not the setup that's wrong. Fix the size, not the stop.
