The 3 mistakes that keep beginners losing money in the markets
I've seen hundreds of people try to learn trading. Most of them lose money for the same three reasons — and none of them have to do with picking the wrong stock.
Mistake #1: Trading without a plan.
You see a ticker moving and you jump in. No entry criteria, no exit, no risk management. That's not trading — that's gambling with extra steps. Every trade should have a reason, a target, and a stop loss before you press the button.
Mistake #2: Risking too much per trade.
New traders go all-in because they want to "make it back fast." Professional traders risk 1-2% of their account per trade. That's not being cautious — that's how you survive long enough to get good.
Mistake #3: Chasing indicators instead of understanding price.
You can stack 15 indicators on your chart and still lose. Price action tells you everything you need to know if you learn to read it. Start with support, resistance, and volume. Everything else is noise until you master the basics.
