The 3 mistakes every beginner makes in the gym (and what to do instead)
I've trained hundreds of beginners. The same 3 mistakes come up almost every time.
Mistake #1: No plan.
Walking into the gym and "just doing stuff" is the fastest way to waste 6 months. You need a structured program — sets, reps, rest times, progression. Without a plan, you're guessing.
Mistake #2: Ego lifting.
Nobody cares how much you bench on day one. Start light, learn proper form, add weight slowly. Your joints will thank you.
Mistake #3: Ignoring recovery.
Training is the stimulus. Sleep and nutrition are where the actual growth happens. If you're training 6 days a week on 5 hours of sleep and fast food, you're working against yourself.
Fix these three things and you'll be ahead of 90% of people who step into a gym.
I built Apex Fitness specifically for beginners who want a real plan — not random YouTube workouts. Structured course, community support, and no BS.
