The #1 reason e-commerce brands fail to scale past $100K
Most e-com founders hit a ceiling around $50-100K and can't figure out why.
They think they need a better product. A better logo. A more "original" idea.
They're wrong.
The real problem is they're optimizing the wrong things at the wrong time.
Here's what we learned going from $0 to $10M in 12 months:
Phase 1: Don't innovate. Identify.
Find a product and brand that's already winning. Study everything — their offer, their pricing, their ads, their funnels. Then replicate the structure and launch fast.
Most founders spend 3 months perfecting a brand that nobody asked for. We spent 3 days studying what already worked, launched, and started collecting data immediately.
Phase 2: Message match is everything.
Your ad hook → your landing page headline → your checkout flow. It all has to tell one seamless story. If a single link in that chain breaks, you lose the sale.
We obsessed over this. Every funnel touchpoint was aligned to the same customer psychology.
Phase 3: Reinvest aggressively.
We spent our last €30K on ad spend and an agency. First month wasn't profitable. Most people would quit. We analyzed the data, fixed what was broken, and doubled down.
The result? Exponential growth in months 2-12.
The system behind all of this is what I call the AYOZ Scale Engine.
I wrote the entire framework into a book — every chapter covers a piece of the system in detail. From the mindset, to the "legal theft" strategy, to the war phase of spending everything to win.
If you're an e-com founder stuck below $1M and you're willing to execute aggressively — this was written for you.
