The busy person's guide to actually being consistent at the gym
Most people don't need a better program. They need a simpler one.
I've trained for years while working full-time, and the biggest lesson I've learned is this: the best workout is the one you actually do.
Here's the framework I use and teach inside Baseline Fitness:
Keep it to 3-4 days. If you're busy, 5-6 day splits are a recipe for quitting. Full body or upper/lower splits give you the best results per hour invested.
Automate your meals. Pick 3-4 meals you like that hit your macros. Rotate them. Don't overthink it. Meal prep on Sunday, eat the same things Monday-Friday. Save creativity for the weekend.
Track one thing. Not calories, not steps, not sleep, not all of them at once. Pick ONE metric and improve it for 4 weeks. Then add another. Progressive overload applies to habits too.
Find 2-3 people who are on the same path. Accountability beats motivation every single time. When someone is expecting you to show up, you show up.
This is exactly what we do inside Baseline Fitness — simple programs, clear nutrition guidance, and a group of professionals who keep each other locked in. No fluff, no 47-page PDFs, no guru energy. Just structure and consistency.
