Good evening to everyone who simply survived today. 🌙🦥
If your mental health took a hit today and you are lying there feeling guilty about everything you didn't get done, I want you to read this and let it sink in:
"Rest is not a reward for a perfectly productive day. It is a basic human need."
We are wired to believe that motivation means grinding through the exhaustion. But when your nervous system is overwhelmed, the most powerful and motivating thing you can do for your mental health is to officially declare the day "over." Forgive yourself for whatever didn't get crossed off the to-do list.
As we talk about in The Bare Minimum guide, lowering the bar is how we actually survive without burning out completely. So tonight, let's practice some low-energy triage.
Your Bare Minimum Evening Checklist:
• Drop the Guilt: Whatever you didn't finish today is officially tomorrow's problem. Leave it there.
• The Single-Item Clean: Put exactly one thing away. A cup in the sink, a shirt in the hamper. Just one.
• Unclench: Drop your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and take a deep breath.
You did enough today just by being here.
