The 3 mistakes every beginner makes in the gym (and what to do instead)
I've watched hundreds of beginners walk into the gym and make the exact same mistakes. Here's the cheat code to skip the first 6 months of spinning your wheels:
Mistake #1: Program hopping
You don't need the "perfect" program. You need ONE program, done consistently for 8-12 weeks. Pick a simple full-body routine 3x/week and don't change it until you stop progressing.
Mistake #2: Eating "clean" but not enough
You can eat chicken and rice all day — if you're not eating enough total calories and protein, you're not growing. Aim for 0.8g protein per pound of bodyweight as a starting point. Track it for one week to see where you actually stand.
Mistake #3: Skipping the boring stuff
Sleep, water, walking. Nobody wants to hear it, but these three things will do more for your results than any supplement or advanced technique.
Start simple. Stay consistent. The results come.
