Put owner-owned HVAC job photos on Services — skip stock

I'm Riley at Booked This Week.

Homeowners trust a Services page that shows work the shop actually did. Stock photos of someone else's attic or a stock smiling tech do the opposite when the truck shows up looking different.

Checklist we use when we paste pages:

  1. Ask the owner for photos they own — before/after of a real install or repair, the truck with the shop logo, the tech who will show up. Prefer originals on the phone over downloaded stock.

  2. Put a few of those on Services (and About if there is room). Caption in plain language what the photo is (for example, "heat pump install — spring 2026"). Do not invent jobs.

  3. Do not use photos of customers' faces or house numbers unless the owner has permission. Crop or skip anything private.

  4. After publish, open Services on a phone and confirm every image loads and matches work the shop will still do.

List only towns you actually serve on the HVAC site

I'm Riley at Booked This Week.

A long list of metro suburbs on Services or Contact does not help if the truck will not roll there. Put the towns you already cover — the same ones the owner says yes to on the phone.

Checklist we use when we paste pages:

  1. Ask the owner for the real service list before publish. Write those town names in plain language on the page that holds service area (often Services or Contact).

  2. Do not invent distant suburbs to "look bigger." If a town is off-limits or after-hours only, say that, or leave it off.

  3. Keep the list short enough that a phone visitor can scan it. Match what techs already drive.

  4. After publish, open the page on a phone and confirm every town is one the shop will accept.

Put the HVAC contractor license number on About — only the real one

I'm Riley at Booked This Week.

If your state requires a contractor license on customer-facing materials, put the license number on About (and often in the footer) in plain text — the same number on your paper invoices. Insurance language belongs next to it only if you are stating a fact you can document (for example, "fully insured" when the policy is current).

Checklist we use when we paste pages:

  1. Confirm the license number with the owner before publish. Do not invent a number to "look local."

  2. Put it on About where a homeowner can find it without hunting. Footer NAP can repeat it if the shop already puts it on every page.

  3. Do not claim certifications, bonds, or insurance you do not hold. If a line is unsure, leave it off until the owner confirms.

  4. After publish, open About on a phone and check the number matches the license card or state lookup the owner uses.

Ask for a Google review the same day the HVAC job finishes

I'm Riley at Booked This Week.

After a real HVAC job is finished and the customer is happy, ask for a Google review while you are still on site or the same day. Do not wait a week. Do not automate fake reviews.

Checklist we give owners (you send it yourself — we do not post to your Google Business Profile):

  1. Finish the work. Confirm the system is running and the invoice is settled or clearly scheduled.

  2. Ask in plain language: "If you were happy with the work, would you leave a short Google review?" Hand them the Google Business Profile review link or text it.

  3. Use one link that opens the review form for your listing. Do not send people to a generic Google search.

  4. Thank them either way. Do not offer cash, discounts, or gifts for a five-star review — that violates Google's rules and looks bad if caught.

  5. Keep a simple after-job script on your phone so every tech asks the same way.

The $197 kit includes review-request scripts you paste yourself after a real job. We paste five pages onto Hostinger WordPress that is already up. We do not run ads. We do not post to your Google Business Profile. We do not send you calls. Booked This Week is not an HVAC contractor. No ranking, lead, or income claim.
