The Study Method That Took Me From C's to A's

Most students study wrong. They reread notes, highlight everything, and pull all-nighters before exams. Then they're surprised when they bomb.

Here's the thing — your brain doesn't learn by passively reviewing information. It learns by actively retrieving it.

The method that changed everything for me:

  1. Read once, then close the book. Write down everything you remember from memory. The gaps you find? That's exactly what you need to study.

  1. Space it out. Instead of 4 hours the night before, do 30 minutes a day for a week. Your brain consolidates information during sleep — give it time to do its job.

  1. Teach it to someone. If you can explain a concept to a friend in plain language, you actually understand it. If you stumble, you've found your weak spot.

  1. Practice under test conditions. Do practice problems with a timer. No notes. The closer your practice matches the real test, the better you'll perform.

This isn't some hack — it's backed by decades of cognitive science research. The students who crush it aren't studying more. They're studying smarter.

I built BrainCamp to help college students stop grinding and start actually learning. If you're tired of studying for hours and still getting mid grades, this might be for you.
