The 3 cognitive biases costing you money, relationships, and time

Most people think they're rational. They're not. Here are 3 biases running your life right now:

1. Sunk Cost Fallacy — You keep watching a bad movie because you already paid for it. You stay in a dead-end job because you've "invested 3 years." Your past spending should never dictate future decisions. The money is gone either way.

2. Confirmation Bias — You don't search for truth. You search for evidence that you're right. This is why smart people hold dumb opinions — they're great at finding data that supports what they already believe.

3. The Anchoring Effect — The first number you see becomes your reference point. That "$200 NOW $49" sale? You're not saving $151. You're paying $49 for something worth $49. Marketers know this. Now you do too.

These aren't abstract concepts. They're running in your brain right now, shaping every decision you make today.

I break down one of these every week at Brainframe — with real examples, countermeasures, and ways to actually use them to your advantage.
