Stop saying 'I help people with X' — use this formula instead

Your bio is the most underrated piece of brand real estate you own. And most of you are wasting it.

❌ What most creators write:

"I help people grow on social media"

"Content creator | Entrepreneur | Speaker"

"Living my best life ✨"

✅ What actually converts — the POP Formula:

P — Problem you solve

O — Outcome you deliver

P — Proof it works

Examples:

Fitness creator:

"I turn 30-minute workouts into physique transformations. 500+ clients. No gym bro science."

Finance creator:

"Helping 9-5 workers build $100K portfolios without day trading. $2M+ in student results."

Design creator:

"I make brands look expensive on a bootstrapped budget. 200+ creator brands redesigned."

The test:

Read your current bio out loud. If it sounds like it could belong to 10,000 other people, it's not a brand statement — it's a category label.

Rewrite your bio using the POP formula and drop it in the comments. I'll give feedback on the first 20.

The 5-Second Brand Test (try this right now)

Here's a test that tells you exactly where your brand stands.

Open your social profile. Look at it for 5 seconds. Close it.

Now answer these 3 questions:

  1. Could you describe the vibe in 3 words? If not, your visual identity is unclear.

  2. Do you know exactly what this person helps with? If not, your positioning is weak.

  3. Would you remember this profile tomorrow? If not, your brand isn't sticky enough.

Most creators fail question #3.

That's because they optimize for content output, not brand recognition. They post daily but their feed looks like 5 different people made it.

The fix is simple (not easy):

  • Pick 3 colors. Use them everywhere. No exceptions.

  • Pick 1 font for thumbnails. Never switch it.

  • Write a bio that passes the "so what?" test — if someone reads your bio and thinks "so what?", rewrite it.

Try the test on your own profile and drop your score (out of 3) in the comments. Be honest — that's how we improve.

The #1 reason creators with 50K followers can't monetize (and how to fix it)

Most mid-tier creators are sitting on goldmines and don't know it.

You've got the audience. You've got the engagement. But when you launch a product — crickets. Here's why:

You don't have a brand. You have a content style.

There's a massive difference. A content style gets you followers. A brand gets you customers.

  • Content style = "I make funny editing tutorials" → People watch, laugh, scroll.

  • Brand = "I help video editors land $5K clients through portfolio positioning" → People watch, then buy.

The shift is subtle but everything changes when you nail it. Your audience self-selects, your offers write themselves, and sponsorships get easier.

The fix in 3 steps:

  1. Pick ONE transformation your audience wants (not one you think is cool — one they'd pay for)

  2. Rewrite your bio around that transformation

  3. Make your next 10 pieces of content prove you can deliver it

That's it. No rebrand. No new logo. Just clarity.

I run Brandcraft Studio to help mid-tier creators (10K-100K) make this exact shift. If your content gets views but your products don't sell, we should talk.
