The 3 camera settings that 90% of new YouTubers get wrong

I've been shooting video for years and I still see the same mistakes everywhere.

Here's what most beginners mess up — and the fix takes 30 seconds:

1. Shutter speed — If your video looks "choppy" or weirdly smooth, your shutter speed is off. The rule: double your frame rate. Shooting 30fps? Set shutter to 1/60. 24fps → 1/50. Done.

2. White balance on auto — Auto WB shifts colors between cuts and makes your footage look inconsistent. Pick a Kelvin value (5500K for daylight, 3200K for indoor) and lock it.

3. ISO too high — Grainy footage? You're probably cranking ISO instead of opening your aperture or adding light. Keep ISO as low as possible. If you need more light, get a cheap LED panel — it'll change your life.

These 3 fixes alone will make your footage look 10x more professional. No expensive gear needed.

If you want to take it further, I put together the Creator Essential Pack — everything you need to start shooting pro-quality content. Check it out on CamCore. 🎥
