3. Triglav National Park, Slovenia — Mountain huts for €8-15/night, or free bivouac above the treeline. Slovenia is the most underrated hiking country in Europe, full stop.

4. Valbona Pass, Albania — The cheapest country in Europe for camping. Wild camping is tolerated basically everywhere. €5 gets you a campsite with a river view and home-cooked breakfast from a local family.

5. Lofoten, Norway — Allemannsretten (right to roam) means you can camp almost anywhere for free. Yes, even those viral beach spots. Go in August for midnight sun.
