Most "complete kits" dump in a camera that's too heavy and a battery that sags after two laps.

A race-ready 5" should be:

• Sub-250g dry if you can swing it — not because of the rule, because it rotates faster

• Motors that hold KV under load, not just look good on a bench

• A stack you can replace between heats without a soldering iron

• Props you can buy in bulk, because you will break them
