5 things every e-commerce store needs to actually convert
I've studied hundreds of online stores. Here's what separates the ones printing money from the ones bleeding ad spend:
1. A hero section that sells the outcome, not the product
Don't just show your product — show the life your customer gets. "Look effortless every morning" hits harder than "Premium cotton t-shirt."
2. Social proof above the fold
"2,400+ happy customers" or a row of 5-star reviews right under your hero. If people have to scroll to find proof, most won't.
3. One clear CTA per page
Stop giving visitors 10 choices. Every page should funnel to one action: Add to Cart, Shop Now, or Get Started.
4. Mobile-first everything
75%+ of your traffic is on their phone. If your product images are slow, your buttons are tiny, or your checkout is clunky on mobile — you're burning money.
5. Fast, frictionless checkout
Every extra step in checkout loses ~10% of buyers. Express checkout (Apple Pay, Shop Pay) isn't optional anymore — it's the baseline.
If your store is missing any of these, you're leaving revenue on the table. We build stores that check every box.
