Most gaming clips die in the algorithm. Here's what actually works after editing over a thousand of them:

1. The first frame matters more than the play. If someone can't tell it's going to be insane in 0.3 seconds, they scroll. Start mid-action, not with your loading screen.

2. Audio sync is the #1 thing separating mid clips from viral ones. Line up the beat drop with the kill, the bass hit with the headshot. Sound design isn't optional anymore.

3. Shorter isn't always better. TikTok rewards watch-through rate, not length. A 45-second clip with tension > a 7-second montage nobody remembers.

4. Color grading sets the vibe. The same Valorant ace looks completely different with a cold blue grade vs warm orange. Match the energy of the play.

5. Stop saving your best clips for "later." Post them now. The meta changes, the moment passes. Your editing will be better next month anyway — ship it.
