The 3 things that actually kill stream quality (and it's not your camera)

Spent the last few months building gear kits for streamers and creators, and the same mistake keeps showing up: everyone obsesses over the camera and ignores the two things viewers actually notice first.

1. Audio. Viewers will tolerate a mediocre webcam. They will not tolerate crackly, echoey, or too-quiet audio. A $50 USB mic run through a proper audio interface beats a $300 camera with built-in mic every time.

2. Latency between sources. If your capture card is bottlenecking your video feed and your audio drifts out of sync even by 100ms, it reads as 'off' to viewers even if they can't say why. Dedicated capture hardware > software capture for anything beyond casual streaming.

3. Cable chaos. Sounds dumb, but a messy desk setup means intermittent connection drops during your stream — the worst possible time to lose signal. Cable management isn't cosmetic, it's reliability.

Built Clutch Supply Co. around fixing exactly this — bundles that solve audio + capture + cable management together instead of piecemeal gear you have to research separately. If you're serious about leveling up your stream, happy to help you figure out what setup makes sense for your room and mic technique.
