I've been making kids entertainment content for a while now, and here's what actually matters if you want to keep toddlers engaged (and parents coming back):

1. The first 2 seconds decide everything. Toddlers have zero patience. If the first frame isn't colorful, moving, or surprising — they're swiping.

2. Repetition isn't lazy, it's the formula. Kids WANT to see the same thing again. That's how they learn. Build it into your content on purpose.

3. Parents are the real audience. If a parent feels weird about the content, it's getting turned off. Make stuff that parents are comfortable leaving on.

4. Sound design matters more than visuals. Kids react to sounds before they process what they see. Fun sound effects > fancy animations every time.

5. Keep it short, then go shorter. The videos that perform best are almost always shorter than I think they should be.
