1. Stop tutorial hopping. Pick ONE stack and go deep. React + Next.js is the move right now — it's what companies are actually hiring for.

2. Build 3 projects, not 30. Employers don't care about your to-do app. Build something with auth, a database, and an API. A SaaS dashboard, a marketplace, a booking system. Something that looks like it could be a real product.

3. Learn in public. Push to GitHub every day. Post what you're building on X. This is how you get noticed by hiring managers who are lurking on social media.

4. Apply before you feel ready. If you can build a full-stack app with React and deploy it, you're ready. Impostor syndrome is lying to you.

5. Get code reviews from real devs. Self-taught is great, but blind spots will hold you back. You need someone who's been in the industry to look at your code and tell you what's wrong.
