1. Buying the hype, not the project

If your entire thesis is "it's pumping" — you don't have a thesis. Learn to read tokenomics, check the team, and understand what problem the project actually solves before you put a dollar in.

2. No exit strategy

"I'll sell when it moons" is not a plan. Set price targets. Take profits at milestones. Nobody ever went broke taking gains.

3. Ignoring on-chain data

Price charts tell you what happened. On-chain data tells you what's about to happen. Whale wallets moving, exchange inflows spiking, TVL dropping — these are signals most beginners completely miss.

4. Going all-in on one coin

Diversification isn't just a TradFi buzzword. Spread across L1s, L2s, DeFi, and stablecoins. If one sector tanks, your whole portfolio doesn't go with it.

5. Trading on emotion

Fear and greed will destroy your portfolio faster than any rug pull. Build a system, stick to it, and stop checking your portfolio every 5 minutes.
