Welcome to ConvertLab — you just made one of the smartest investments in your marketing career.

What You Get

šŸ“š 6-Module Course — From statistical foundations to building a scalable testing program. Each lesson is packed with frameworks, real data, and case studies you can apply immediately.

šŸ’¬ Community Chat — Connect with fellow SEO specialists and conversion optimizers. Share test results, get feedback on hypotheses, and learn from each other's wins and losses.

šŸ“¢ Updates & Resources — Check the Content tab for templates, tool recommendations, bonus case studies, and course updates.

How to Get the Most Out of This

  1. Go through the course in order — lessons build on each other, and the statistical foundations in Module 2 will save you from costly mistakes later

  2. Do the exercises — especially the capstone in Module 6. Theory without practice is just entertainment.

  3. Share in the community — post your test results, hypotheses, and questions. The fastest learners are the ones who engage.

  4. Bookmark the ICE framework (Module 3, Lesson 3) — you'll use it every single week

Your First Action Item

Before you start the course, open your highest-traffic landing page and screenshot it. You'll reference this throughout the modules as your "before" baseline.

Let's turn your landing pages into conversion machines. šŸš€

Most A/B Tests Fail Because of This One Statistical Mistake

I've audited over 200 A/B testing programs. The #1 reason tests produce misleading results? Peeking at data before reaching statistical significance.

Here's what happens:

  1. You launch a test on Monday

  2. By Wednesday, Variant B is up 23% — you get excited

  3. You call the test early and implement the "winner"

  4. Next month, conversions are flat or worse

Why this happens: Early results are noisy. With small sample sizes, random variation looks like real signal. A variant that's "winning" by 23% on day 3 might actually be losing by 5% once you have enough data.

The Fix

Before you launch any test, calculate your required sample size. The formula accounts for:

  • Baseline conversion rate — your current performance

  • Minimum detectable effect — the smallest improvement worth detecting

  • Statistical power (typically 80%) — probability of detecting a real effect

  • Significance level (typically 95%) — confidence threshold

For a page converting at 3% where you want to detect a 20% relative lift (3.0% → 3.6%), you need approximately 14,500 visitors per variant.

Do not touch the results until you hit that number.

I built an entire course around this — covering everything from sample size calculation to building a full testing program that compounds results quarter over quarter.

If you're an SEO specialist or digital marketer running landing page tests, this will save you months of wasted experiments.
