The 3 meal prep mistakes that waste your entire Sunday
Most people who try meal prepping quit within 3 weeks. Not because it's hard — because they're doing it wrong.
Here are the 3 biggest mistakes I see:
1. Cooking everything at the same temp
You're baking chicken at 400°F and wondering why your roasted vegetables are burnt. Different ingredients need different cook times and temps. Stagger your oven use or work in batches.
2. No variety = no motivation
If you eat the same thing 5 days in a row, you WILL order takeout by Wednesday. Build 2-3 protein bases with different seasonings. Same effort, completely different meals.
3. Ignoring sauces and condiments
The secret to meal prep that actually tastes good on Day 4? Sauces stored separately. A good chimichurri or tahini dressing turns boring containers into something you look forward to.
I build all my recipes around these principles — high protein, real flavor, and structured so your prep day takes under 2 hours.
If meal prep has been a struggle, it's not you. It's your system.
