Google Translate on Allegro is why your listing looks cheap

I have rewritten product copy for Baltic and Polish e-commerce for 12 years. The pattern is always the same.

A Shopify or Amazon seller expands to Allegro or Lithuania. They run the English description through a translator. Grammar is “fine.” Conversion dies.

Why: Polish shoppers do not search the way English copy thinks they search. Lithuanian buyers read formality differently than a UK product page. Russian listings that keep English benefit bullets feel like grey import. You are not being judged on accuracy. You are being judged on whether you sound like you sell in that country.

Three things I check before any listing goes live:

  1. Search language, not dictionary language. What people type in Allegro or Amazon.pl is rarely the literal translation of your English title.

  2. Benefit order. UK/US leads with outcome. PL and LT often need proof and specifics first — size, composition, delivery, returns.

  3. CTA tone. A hard “Buy now” can feel aggressive in LT. The same CTA in US is normal.

If you sell on Shopify, Allegro, or Amazon into LT / PL / UK / US / RU, paste one description into CopyNative and generate all four. Then read the Polish and Lithuanian out loud. If it sounds like a tourist wrote it, do not publish it.

That is the whole product.
