Why I remelt old soft plastics instead of buying new bags
Most people toss a torn worm and buy another bag. I melt the scraps down and pour them again.
The plastic is still good. A ripped paddle tail is not trash. Heat it, mix in a little color if you want, and you get a new bait that already matches the water you fish.
Around here, green pumpkin and a bit of blue flake has been the honest combination. Not because it looks pretty in a package. Because it looks like what craws and baitfish actually look like in stained lake water.
If you have a color that always gets bit on your lake, tell me. I would rather pour what locals already trust than guess from a catalog.
