Been sourcing and reselling designer/streetwear for a while now, and the #1 question I get is "how do you know it's real?" Here's my actual checklist before I touch a listing:

1. Stitching consistency — real designer pieces have machine-even stitch spacing. Fakes almost always have a slightly uneven row somewhere, usually near the collar or cuffs.

2. Weight of the fabric — cheap counterfeits cut corners on material weight to save cost. If it feels papery or too light for the brand, walk away.

3. Font kerning on tags/hardware — counterfeiters nail the logo shape but mess up letter spacing. Zoom into any zipper pull or woven tag.

4. Seller history over price — a "deal" from a brand-new account with no history is the #1 red flag, more than the price itself.

5. Ask for a raw, unedited photo of the interior tag — every legit seller can produce this in under a minute. Hesitation = pass.
