Read the sheet the way the machinist will
A drawing can close on paper and still fail at the saw. The usual miss is not a missing dimension. It is a chain that does not close, a thickness that never reaches the cut list, a door swing that only works in plan, or a nest that does not match the parts it claims to hold.
Before the sheet is cut, walk it in that order:
Close every dimension chain. If two paths to the same edge disagree, the sheet is not ready.
Carry material and thickness all the way into the cut list. A part without a thickness is not a part.
Test joinery against the actual substrate, not the one you wish you had ordered.
Run hardware clearances and door swings in sequence, not in isolation.
Call out grain and finished faces so the nest does not bury a show face in an offcut.
Reconcile the cut list against the sheet. If the nest and the list disagree, neither is finished.
The fix is still an eraser at this point. After the sheet is cut, it is not.
