Most BDS students revise the wrong way

The pattern I keep seeing: people reread lecture slides the week of the paper and call it revision.

Slides are written to teach, not to test. They bury the one line that actually comes up in the SAQ under three pages of background.

What works instead:

  • One page per topic. If you can't fit it, you don't know it yet.

  • Write the exam question first, then the answer. Not the other way around.

  • Drop anything that has never appeared in your last 5 past papers.

That's the structure these notes follow. Anatomy, pathology, restorative, oral surgery — high-yield only.

If you're sitting BDS this year, start with past papers, not a textbook.
