The first week of fat loss is not about the gym

Most beginners don't fail because they picked the wrong workout.

They fail because week 1 is chaos: new exercises, new food rules, new schedule — and then they try to "do it perfectly."

If you're starting from zero, do this instead:

Week 1 is a rehearsal, not a transformation.

  • 3 workouts. That's it. Same 4–5 movements each time.

  • Protein at every meal. Don't count every calorie yet.

  • Sleep before 11 if you can. Fat loss is slower when you're wrecked.

  • Walk 8–10k steps. Boring. Works.

Skip the 6-day split. Skip the 1,200-calorie crash. You can't out-plan inconsistency.

If you can do those four things for 7 days, you're already ahead of most people who "start Monday."

That's the standard I build plans around at DigitalForge — simple enough that a beginner actually finishes the week.
