Why your TikTok edits look amateur (and the 3-second fix)
Most beginner editors make the same mistake — they color grade AFTER they've already exported.
The difference between a viral edit and one that gets scrolled past usually comes down to three things:
1. Color consistency — Your clips need to match. One warm, one cool = instant amateur vibes. A single preset across all clips fixes this in seconds.
2. Sharpness — Phone footage looks soft on desktop. Running it through an upscaler before editing makes it look like it was shot on a real camera.
3. Transitions — Stop using the default cross dissolve. Whip pans and zoom cuts look 10x better and they're just as easy with the right presets loaded.
I packed all of this into two preset packs that I use on every single video. If you edit in Premiere Pro, these will save you hours.
