How to write your first e-book in 7 days (even if you've never written one)
Most people overthink e-books. They think they need to be expert writers, have a publisher, or spend months on research.
Here's the truth: your first e-book doesn't need to be 200 pages. It needs to solve one specific problem for one specific group of people.
Here's the framework I use:
Day 1-2: Pick your topic.
What do people ask you about? What have you figured out that others haven't? That's your e-book topic. It could be a workout routine, a study method, a side hustle breakdown — anything you genuinely know.
Day 3-4: Write the outline.
5-7 chapters. Each chapter answers one question your reader has. Don't write prose yet — just bullet points under each heading.
Day 5-6: Fill it in.
Write conversationally. Each chapter should be 500-1000 words. That's 3,500-7,000 words total — about 15-30 pages. That's a real e-book.
Day 7: Format and publish.
Use Google Docs or Canva to make it clean. Export as PDF. List it on a platform with a clear title, honest description, and fair price.
The key principle: no shortcuts.
Don't copy someone else's work. Don't use misleading claims. Write something genuinely useful, price it fairly, and let the quality speak for itself.
Seven days, one e-book, a new income stream.
