The 3 training mistakes that kept me stuck for years
I spent 4 years spinning my wheels in the gym before I figured this out.
If you're training consistently but not seeing results, chances are you're making at least one of these mistakes:
1. Program hopping every 4 weeks
Progressive overload only works if you stick with a program long enough to actually progress. Every time you switch, you reset the adaptation clock. Pick a program. Run it for 12-16 weeks minimum. Track every set.
2. Ignoring recovery like it doesn't matter
Training breaks you down. Recovery builds you up. If you're sleeping 5 hours, eating like garbage, and training 6 days a week — you're not dedicated, you're sabotaging yourself. Sleep 7-8 hours. Eat enough protein. Take rest days seriously.
3. Chasing fatigue instead of performance
Crawling out of the gym doesn't mean you had a good workout. It means you did too much. The goal is to do the minimum effective dose to drive adaptation, then recover and come back stronger. If you can't beat last week's numbers, you haven't recovered.
Fix these three things and I guarantee you'll see more progress in the next 3 months than you did in the last year.
I built Elite Physique around these exact principles — structured programming, real recovery protocols, and performance-focused training. No fluff.
