The 3 biggest mistakes skinny guys make trying to build muscle
I've coached hundreds of guys through their first serious bulk. The ones who fail almost always make the same mistakes.
1. Program hopping
You don't need a new program every 4 weeks. You need progressive overload on compound lifts for 12+ weeks minimum. Pick a proven program and run it into the ground.
2. Not eating enough (and not tracking it)
If you're not gaining weight, you're not in a surplus. Period. Track your calories for 2 weeks. Most guys who think they "eat a lot" are 500-800 calories short of where they need to be.
3. Majoring in the minors
You don't need a dedicated arm day. You need heavy rows, presses, squats, and deadlifts. The guys with the best physiques aren't doing 6 bicep variations — they're squatting 315.
Stop overcomplicating it. Eat big, lift heavy, sleep 8 hours, repeat.
If you want structured programs and daily accountability with a crew of guys doing the same thing, that's exactly what Elite Physique is.
