The plateau nobody warns first-time founders about
Every founder I've talked to hits the same wall around $3k-5k/month. Not because the market dries up — because the habits that got you to $3k stop working past it.
At $0, you're scrappy. You DM everyone, post constantly, hustle raw. That gets you your first customers. But it doesn't scale — you can't out-hustle your way past a few thousand a month, because hustle has a ceiling your calendar enforces.
What actually breaks the plateau:
Systems over motivation. The founders who get stuck are relying on willpower every single day. The ones who break through build a repeatable process for the 2-3 things that actually move revenue, then stop reinventing it daily.
An outside perspective. You cannot see your own blind spots. Every founder I know who broke through had someone — a mentor, a peer group, a mastermind — pointing out the obvious thing they were missing.
Accountability that isn't self-imposed. Telling yourself you'll do something is weak sauce compared to telling a room of people who will ask you next week if you did it.
If you're stuck in that $0-10k range right now — it's not your product. It's your structure. Fix that first.
