The $28 fix for pilled sweaters that most people don't know exists

Quick PSA for anyone who's ever thrown out a good sweater because it got fuzzy and pilled after a few washes: you don't need to. Pilling happens from friction (straps, bags, sitting) breaking fibers on the surface — it doesn't mean the fabric is actually worn out underneath.

An electric fabric shaver with a floating head (as opposed to the flat manual combs) contours to the shape of the garment so you don't flatten knit texture or create bald spots, which is the #1 mistake people make trying to fix this with scissors or a razor.

Started Fabric Renew this week selling exactly this — a $3 problem most people don't realize has a cheap, permanent fix. If you've got a pile of "too pilled to wear" sweaters in your closet, that's basically free money sitting there before you even buy anything new this fall.

Happy to answer questions on fabric care in general, not just trying to sell here.
