Why most startup landing pages don't convert (and how to fix it)
I've redesigned dozens of landing pages for startups and the same mistakes keep showing up.
The biggest one? Too much information above the fold. Your hero section needs ONE clear value prop, ONE CTA, and enough white space to let it breathe.
Here's my quick checklist for any landing page:
→ Hero headline answers "what do I get?" in under 8 words
→ CTA button has a specific action, not "Learn More"
→ Social proof is visible without scrolling
→ The page loads in under 2 seconds
→ Mobile layout isn't just a squished desktop version
The companies that nail these basics see 2-3x better conversion rates. It's not about fancy animations — it's about removing friction between the visitor and the action you want them to take.
I run Fazil Studio where I help startups, e-commerce brands, and SaaS companies get their UI/UX right. If your landing page isn't converting, drop me a message.
