What Is Needle Felting?

Needle felting is a fiber art technique where you repeatedly poke loose wool with a barbed needle, tangling the fibers together until they form a solid, sculpted shape. You start with a rough core, then layer colored wool on top to build texture, fur patterns, and fine details.

The results can be stunning — museum-quality animal portraits that look like they might blink.
