Don't print a 14-hour Halloween prop until this 20-minute test passes
Every October I watch people start a tombstone at 11pm and wake up to a raft of spaghetti.
The print didn't fail at hour 12. It failed at layer 1. They just didn't look.
The test
Print a 40mm square, 0.2mm first layer, same filament and bed temp you plan to use. Then try to peel a corner with a fingernail.
If it lifts: wash the bed, redo Z, try again. Do not start the prop.
If it holds and the lines are even: you can run the long job.
I built FilamentDesk around that habit — print-ready Halloween STLs for hobby FDM beds, plus a separate 1-hour live session when the machine is the problem, not the file.
The files are one-time. The hour expires in 7 days. Nothing here is "lifetime support."
