Your first layer is lying to you
Most "bad STLs" I get sent are fine. The print died in the first 30 seconds and nobody stopped it.
Here's the actual checklist I run before I blame the model:
Bed is clean. Soap, not just IPA if you've been printing PETG.
First-layer speed is 20 mm/s, not whatever the profile shipped with.
Z offset is set by watching the squish, not by the paper test from six months ago.
Elephant's foot compensation is on. 0.15 mm. Especially on yard props that have to sit flat on grass or concrete.
Halloween props fail in two boring ways: the skirt doesn't stick because the yard-sized base is a giant first layer, or the file was exported in inches and you sliced in mm. Check the bounding box in the slicer before you hit print. If a pumpkin is 400 mm tall and you own an Ender, that's on you, not the STL.
I sell print-ready yard-prop files and, separately, a one-hour live fix if the printer is the problem. Different products. Don't buy the session if you just need files, and don't buy the pack expecting me to remote into your machine.
