The 10-Minute No-Equipment Morning Routine That Actually Works

Most morning routines are built for people with home gyms and 90 minutes to spare. This one isn't.

Here's what I do every single morning — takes 10 minutes, zero equipment, works in a hotel room, a studio apartment, or your living room.

The Routine:

  1. Wall Sits (60 sec) — Wake your legs up. Back flat on the wall, thighs parallel to the floor. No cheating.

  2. Push-Up Ladder (1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1) — That's 25 reps total. Scale to knees if needed. No shame.

  3. Dead Bugs (30 sec each side) — Lie on your back. Opposite arm/leg extends. Core stays locked. The move most people skip and shouldn't.

  4. Bodyweight Squats (20 reps) — Full depth. Controlled on the way down. Explosive on the way up.

  5. Plank (60 sec) — Finish strong. Elbows under shoulders, straight line from head to heels.

Why this works: It hits every major movement pattern — push, squat, core stability, isometric hold. You're not trying to build a six-pack in 10 minutes. You're building the habit of moving every single day. Consistency beats intensity, always.

If you want structured programs with progressive overload, follow-along videos, and a community of people doing the same thing — that's what FitAnywhere is built for.

Try it tomorrow. Come back and tell me how it went. 💪

The 5 Bodyweight Exercises That Replace an Entire Gym

Most people think they need a $50/month gym membership and a rack of dumbbells to get in shape. They don't.

After years of training with zero equipment, here are the 5 movements that cover your entire body:

1. Push-ups (and variations) — Chest, shoulders, triceps. Elevate your feet for more difficulty. Diamond grip for triceps. Archer push-ups when you're ready to level up.

2. Squats → Pistol squats — Start with bodyweight squats. Progress to Bulgarian split squats. The end goal: single-leg pistol squats. Your legs will thank you.

3. Pull-ups (find any bar or ledge) — The king of upper body. A door frame pull-up bar costs $20 and hits your entire back + biceps.

4. Planks → L-sits — Core stability is the foundation. Start with 60-second planks, progress to hollow body holds, then L-sits.

5. Burpees — The ultimate full-body conditioning move. 10 minutes of burpee intervals will humble anyone.

These 5 movements, done consistently 3-4x per week, will build more functional strength than most gym routines.

I built FitAnywhere around this philosophy — follow-along videos, progressive programming, zero equipment required. If you want structured routines built around bodyweight training, check it out.
