The #1 mistake beginners make with nutrition (and how to fix it)
Most people who start working out make the same mistake: they focus 100% on exercise and ignore nutrition.
Here's the truth — you can't out-train a bad diet. I've seen it over and over.
The fix is simple:
Protein first. Aim for 1g per pound of bodyweight. Chicken, eggs, Greek yogurt, lentils — pick your favorites and build around them.
Don't cut calories too hard. If you're a beginner, you don't need a 500-calorie deficit. Eat at maintenance or a slight deficit. Your body needs fuel to build muscle.
Meal prep one day a week. Sunday for 2 hours beats stressing about food 7 days a week.
