The 3 exercises most people do wrong (and how to fix them)
I've been coaching people for a while now, and these three mistakes come up over and over.
1. Deadlifts — rounding the lower back
Most people try to lift with their back instead of driving through their legs. Fix: think "push the floor away" instead of pulling the bar up. Keep your chest proud and brace your core before every rep.
2. Bench press — flaring elbows to 90°
This destroys your shoulders over time. Fix: tuck your elbows to about 45°. You'll actually press more weight AND keep your shoulders healthy.
3. Squats — knees caving inward
Usually a glute activation issue. Fix: warm up with banded squats and focus on "screwing your feet into the floor" to create external rotation.
Small form fixes = massive gains over time. Don't chase weight at the expense of technique.
