The 3 mistakes killing your progress if you just started working out
I've been training for years and coached dozens of beginners. Almost everyone makes the same 3 mistakes in their first 90 days:
1. Program hopping. You do a workout from YouTube on Monday, a TikTok routine on Wednesday, and your friend's plan on Friday. None of them work because you never give any single program enough time. Pick one structured plan and commit for 8 weeks minimum.
2. Ignoring nutrition. You can't out-train a bad diet. You don't need to count every macro — but you need to eat enough protein (0.7-1g per lb of bodyweight) and stop drinking your calories. That alone puts you ahead of 80% of beginners.
3. Going too hard too fast. You destroy yourself on day 1, can't walk for a week, and quit. Progressive overload means starting light and adding weight slowly. Your ego is the enemy — leave it at the door.
If you're a beginner looking for a structured system that actually works, I built FitPath Academy for exactly this. Courses from $10 to $200 depending on how deep you want to go.
No fluff. Just results.
