The intro request that actually gets answered
Most people ask for intros like this: "Anyone know someone in SaaS?"
That message dies. The person reading it has to do the work of guessing who you mean, whether it is worth their reputation, and how to even phrase the email.
A request that gets answered looks like this:
"I run a 12-person fulfillment shop in New Jersey. I need an intro to a DTC skincare brand doing $2M–$8M that is drowning in 3PLs. We take over pick-and-pack in 30 days. I will write the intro email for you."
Three things that do the work:
You are specific enough that the match is obvious
You make the other side look good
You remove the labor of writing the email
If you cannot write that paragraph, you are not ready for the intro. Tighten the offer first, then ask.
That is the standard inside Foundry Six.
